IT Sales Consultant
MUST HAVE AN IT BACKGROUND AND BE HAPPY TO MAKE LOTS OF OUTBOUND CALLS TO GENERATE NEW BUSINESS
Responsibilities
To motivate more junior members of staff assigned to working requirements generated by your accounts.
To resource candidates and qualify candidates for those accounts.
To familiarise themselves with clients terms and conditions
To aid account managers and resourcers to extend at least 75% of the contractors placed in those accounts.
To visit development accounts at least once per month
To spend one evening a week with clients/contractors
Ensure all company policies, procedures and regulations (including Health and Safety) are read and complied with.
To attribute a designated area of the database.
To write a contact report for all client / prospect meetings within 48 hours of the meeting
To resolve bad debt issues as required
To research vertical market
To be courteous to all clients, contractors and colleagues
To obtain information on where contractors move onto when they finish. Arrange follow up meetings for introductions to new sites/project managers.
A thorough understanding of the company’s Terms and Conditions of business.
Competencies:
Creating and chasing leads for new business.
Attending client meetings and obtaining leads and introductions to other areas within the client site.
Putting together a business plan in relation to specific clients you wish to expand/ open.
Presentation skills both formal & informal.
Knowledge of and ability to sell contract and permanent recruitment to clients
Demonstrable knowledge of the business area(s) you have been assigned.
Skills transfer to more junior members of staff.
Compiling statistical information for presentation to both your line manager and clients in relation to the accounts you are trying to develop.
Obtain Preferred Supplier status with either a new client or a client with whom the Company had done minimal business and was therefore not recognised as a ‘Preferred Supplier’
Understand the legalities of contracting and accounting concerns for contractors
Ability to hold training sessions/ seminars to bring on more junior members of staff in aspects of client account development.
