My client requires a Senior Java Developer to work within their Fixed Income eFX space. The successful candidate will work closely with a small IT team to both support their existing application and participate in new developments to support various business initiatives.
The development team is responsible for implementing high performance, Real Time electronic trading systems. This could involve building bespoke trading and pricing platforms as well as distribution to external clients.
Essential Skills:
Financial/banking experience
Relational database (Sybase) & Unix/Scripting
Excellent Java Skills (at least 5 years experience): J2SE (Core Java, Hibernate, JDBC, Ant, Cruise Control or Team City, JUnit, Java Swing), design patterns
Experience in writing multi-threaded, concurrent applications
Experience in development and performance tuning/profiling of Real Time, high-volume, low-latency trading systems
FX experience
The successful candidate will gain excellent exposure to these business areas as well as the opportunity to work in a technically challenging, delivery focused environment.
