JP Recruit are looking to recruit experienced Family Planning and Sexual Health Nurses for a clinic in the Brixton, South west London area.
All posts on offer are on a Permanent Contract and come with excellent salary and overall benefits package.
The clinic is based within walking distance from Brixton town centre and has ample on-site parking facilities. The centre and is also close to all underground and bus services. As family planning and sexual health nurse you will be working 37.5hrs per week (part time also considered) Monday - Friday between 8am -6 pm. the Occasional Weekend Clinic is ran on a \"if and when\" basis, so flexibility is essential.
The clinic provides family planning and sexual health services for both Men and Women.
Your key duties will include:
• Promote and increase the rate of contraception provision at the clinic
• Provide accurate information on all contraceptive methods to enable the client to make informed choices
• Discuss sexual health with regard to STI (Inc. HIV) testing and treatment
• Pregnancy testing when necessary; use appropriate care pathway
• Discussion, information giving and ability to carry out screening for STI\'s, to interpret results and manage treatment
• Perform HIV point of care (POC) test and venepuncture
• Carry out Cervical smears in accordance with the latest protocols, and interpret test results
• referral of further services as required
• Emergency contraception consultations, liaising with doctors
• Supply and administer drugs as required to clients
• Assist in orientation and teaching of new and existing team members

To Qualify for this Role, you must have the following:
Current NMC Pin registration.
Family Planning Qualification
Ability to undertake Cervical Cytology Smears (desirable)
Salary on offer is in the region of £30000 and the benefits on offer are excellent.
