Job Description: Customer Care Advisor - German - 6 Month Contract
Our Client has a vacancy for a German speaking Customer Care Advisor. Based near Gatwick, you will be responsible for providing a quick and efficient front-line response to major customers, distributors and other Group companies worldwide.
This position is initially on a 6 month contract with the possibility of being extended for a further period of up to six months.
Essentially, you will deal with support requests, technical enquiries, price quotations, process and progress orders – while always focusing on your customers. The role is highly reactive, dealing mainly by telephone and email. It is essential that you are able to effectively manage your workload, understand the priorities of your team and the business, and able to identify opportunity for continuous improvement. You need to have a pro-active approach, enthusiasm, accuracy and attention to detail and be excellent in both verbal and written communication.
The Customer Care function integrates all customer contact activities and maximises opportunities from each contact.
The job holder forms part of the front-line customer contact team providing an instant on-line telephone enquiry facility to all requirements and maximises sales opportunity.
Key Duties/Activities:
Provide an on-line service to customers, distributors and field sales in particular:
Respond proactively and immediately, verbally and in writing, to customers’ enquiries and requests, including technical enquiries, specific application advice, price and availability quotations for the full range of products.
Take orders, process exceptions, progress orders and allocate priorities for effective order fulfilment.
Where queries are of a technical nature, ensure that they are passed to the appropriate part of the Company and that the customer is totally satisfied with the speed and content of the response.
Be responsible for ensuring that all customer contacts are recorded and consequent administration is kept fully up to date both on file and on the computer.
Where appropriate, participate in following up customer contacts and other pro-active selling programmes to ensure customer satisfaction and growth of sales.
For this role, you will need to be fluent in both verbal and written German and English to native standard and ideally an additional European language e.g: Dutch to native speaking level.

Skills:
Fluent in German, to native speaker standard, with English.
Computer literacy is essential.
Good interpersonal skills, particularly over the telephone.

Ability to work in a team.
Self starter and self motivator.
Experience:
1-2 years’ experience in a sales or service orientated environment is vital and you will have a good knowledge of office systems, word/excel (SAP – training will be given) and procedures.
Broad knowledge of company products.
Knowledge of using SAP is preferable although not essential.
Knowledge of sales office systems and procedures, coupled with commercial flair.
Knowledge of sales documentation, post-sales procedures, methods of payment and finance control would be advantageous.
In addition French, Italian or Flemish language skills would be advantageous.
Commercially astute.
